In order to provide UX designers with a place to jump off from, App Templates are designed to give a frame of reference and a space where UX teams can more effectively and efficiently iterate on concepts.
With that in mind, App Templates are built to be detached. To use this component, simply select “App Templates” from the assets panel, select your desired operating system and background color type.
Please note that we don’t currently provide UX designers and team with explicit guidance on when to use the “alt-background” for specific apps. The availability of this background color is simply to give teams and individuals great flexibility when designing. Further guidance on this will be provided in the future for designers.
